Callicarpa (Beautyberry)

Spotted these lovely purple berries in a local garden centre. Beautyberry is a deciduous shrub noted for its brightly coloured, tightly clustered berries that remain on the bush into winter.

Last patchwork class tonight so I spent the afternoon looking for something small and Christmassy that I can work on for one night only. Tomorrow L and I are off to Elie for Christmas. It's a few years since we spent the festive season at the seaside and when I look at all the boxes and bags piled up in the hall I know why we usually stay home!
