21 years ago this weekend and expecting our firstborn and getting a bit impatient we went for a walk here, I remember Linda taking a bit of a tumble....where all other encouragement to labour had failed this seemed to prelude contractions.

Now we live around here, I'm reminded every year when the heather really takes hold that it's that time of year again. So it seems fitting to blip it as we work up to Beth's 21st birthday this weekend. As common with all first time dads, I hadn't a clue what was going to happen to me in call kinds of ways, how is that one day you don't know someone, then the next it's like you loved them all your life?
