Spitbank Fort, The Solent

This afternoon I went on a little adventure. A friend told me of some events around the country which were being promoted by The Telegraph and Ford for free - you just had to apply for tickets. I was very lucky to get one to go on a boat out to Spitbank Fort , one of the three forts just off Portsmouth which were built to see off the French in the nineteenth century. After our tour of the place, which was fantastic, we had a great wine-tasting experience. A totally one off event and the weather was GAWJUS ! Very lucky girl !
