The Albion Christmas Band

The last of our Christmas concerts this year (as far as we know). The Albion Christmas Band at the Gulbenkian Theatre, University of Canterbury. And what a concert it was. The Albion Band has been going for years, the Christmas Band only 20 years. Consisting of, from the left, Simon Kell, Simon Nicholl, Kelly Whiles (daughter of Christine Whiles from St Agnes Fountain who we saw last week) and the ledgend that is Ashley Hutchings they sang a variety of traditional carols, new songs, Christmas covers and songs related to the wider winter solstic celebrations interspersed with readings and poems, one of which was set to music. Had front row seats again!

Spoilt for choice today so I've added more extras, seeing as I've still got 15 to go this year. In town were greyhounds raising money for the greyhound rescue charity. There were loads of them all milling around which made for a difficult shot. Then there was the model traction, named Bungle, engine in a shoe shop.
