3 quarter moon

Noticed that the clouds had parted & I could see the moon ...... as it was just after midnight this morning (00:05) I decided to nip out to get a shot of it ...... I know ....... I need help! Well what else could a Blipper do?!

Been a bit of a 'day' ...... Hubby was already on a 12 hour shift, finishing at about 19:30 (7.30pm) ...... when at about 17:00 (5pm) he rang to say he had no idea what time he would be able to get home. There had been a bad accident & the road was closed just as he got there. He was driving a Double Decker bus & that part of the road ........ although a main road (A16) ..... was fairly narrow at that point & neither he, nor any of the HGV drivers that were also stuck would be able to turn round! Also on that stretch there are no roads leading off the main road ..... so they were well & truly stuck!


The Police told them the road could possibly be closed all night!



Thankfully ...... once they had finally managed to get the man out & off to hospital ...... & had finished their assessment of the crash site ....... they decided they could guide Hubby & the HGV drivers slowly through. He finally made it home just before 22:00 (10pm)!

I am just so thankful that he was not involved :-)
