High Tide

When the weather conditions are right and the tide is up the children gather at Beadnell harbour to do a spot of harbour jumping. Well supervised by adults it looks tempting even to me.
The big brave boys do it from a higher point, with fancy sumersaults and back flips but the smaller ones do it from the concrete pier which is at sea level.
They usually come back to the van navy blue and shivering but happy as the proverbial sand boys.
