Flower Friday

No flowers in the garden so having been volunteered to shop for the things I’d forgotten yesterday (not sure about forgotten, they weren’t on the list!) I thought I’d look to see what Sainsbury’s flower stand had to offer (other supermarkets were available). There were lots of roses, lilies, pot plants and bouquets. It was the bouquets that attracted my attention and led me to ask the question what is a flower? Today’s blip was in one of the bouquets (and many others) – but I think it is a vegetable; an ornamental cabbage, but if it’s in a bouquet does it make it a flower?
