Bad Barbara

Travelled home yesterday following the advice of the weather presenter on the TV. Well that was a good decision as the storm named Barbara well and truly arrived today and I would not have liked to be crossing the Welsh mountains with the strength of the winds and the volume of rain. The Fishguard ferry stayed in port so anyone returning to Ireland for Christmas will have an anxious wait. However by late afternoon the worst was over and we even had a pleasant sunset.
