Rio de Janeiro Brazil

Another excursion this time up to Christ the redeemer and Sugar Loaf mountain. Seeing rain forest, favelas, copacobana beach, Ipenema beach amazing. It took the whole day and was tiring.
A train through the rain forest to the top of Corcovoda to Christ the redeemer then a walk up lots of steps. It was very busy but got a shot. There was a little chapel in the plinth of the statue and a lovely mass with music was going on so Breeda and I stayed. It was Matt's birthday and Simon's 5th anniversary so was lovely to get to a service and remember them both. Can't believe it's 5 years since Simon died but so much has happened and changed in our lives. I actually felt him with me.
I enjoyed the day but Rio apart from the 2 highlights is just like any other city. I was disappointed the statue looked so small from a distance! The picture of me is on sugar loaf with the statue in the distance!!!
