Christingle service

Today was a flurry of activity as we finished our preparations for welcoming our family to join us tomorrow.  Early this evening we went to St John's, our local church where Violet was recently baptised, for a  Christingle service.  The use of technology, combined with traditional carols beautifully sung made this a  wonderful service, although Violet slept through the first 20 minutes, exhausted by the excitement of the day!
This is yet another phone shot (I seem to be doing rather a lot of these at the moment) but you can see how strikingly beautiful the church looked.

As I write this, it is already Christmas Day for us in the early hours of the morning, and I wish you all, wherever you may be, a very happy Christmas!
