Merry Christmas Everyone!

We've had a lovely Christmas Day beginning with breakfast in bed.  A leisurely get up and then it was full on food preparation.  Tony was dispatched to the allotment for carrots and sprouts and I tackled Jamie Oliver's Incredible Nut Roast which, thankfully, turned out well.   Jen and Pete and friend Liz came to dinner and jumped in to the fray of sauce making and dish washing and drink pouring.  We had five puddings but the glittery profiteroles and the brioche bread and butter pudding were pronounced the favourites.  The after eight mints have been cracked open and the gluwein drunk.

We have just skyped with Becky and Rob, who are enjoying a short break in snowy Vermont with Margaret and Alan, Rob's mum and dad.  So all is well with the world!  And now, it's back to the jigsaw.
