Christmas Day

We had Christmas dinner at granny's with Tommi's family. Lovely, relaxed day.

Tuomaanristi (Thomas' cross) is a traditional Christmas ornament, it's carved with knife of three pieces of wood. Dating back to 19th century, first Thomas' crosses were carved in the Finnish archipelago (Korppoo, Iniö region) and in 1930's the tradition spread to the mainland. It's named after the apostle Thomas.
