Christmas Day
It was a highly enjoyable day, and more so after the cooking was out of the way! The oldest daughter brought her partner and their dogs, Molly & Milo, who had their own Christmas dinner purchased ready cooked from Sainsburys!
After opening gifts and having a few drinks, we played Trivial Pursuit that we bought for £3 from the charity shop in Hungerford a short while back. The questions were mostly from the 1970/80's and after about three hours, and a lot of laughing and fun, we decided to end the game with me and the oldest daughter joint winners with 3 'cheeses'!
I took a few photo's throughout the day but the one I've chosen is of the second eldest son, Nathan, and his girlfriend Harriet who is from Guildford. We've had our share of problems with him over the years but since meeting Harriet this year whilst at a friends funeral in Guildford, who committed suicide, he's in a totally different place mentally. He's in love and it shows!
Nathan is an incredibly qualified and experienced (he worked a year in Queensland, Australia) HGV fitter on an amazing salary. He currently works local to us but can work anywhere. Harriet is a teacher on a good salary but it's far easier for him to get a job in Guildford, and it's likely he'll move there next year so they can be together all week rather than just weekends.
Our wish is that they'll stay together and continue to be happy in each others company as they seem so in love.
