For Christmas my siblings and I bought our step-father some new trees for the orchard as several apple trees fell down last summer and planted them. He suffers from Parkinson's and also dementia, which is getting worse quickly. The deal was we would buy and plant the trees as well as put up fencing to keep the deer and alpacas out of them. He was very excited by all this.

In this picture he is surveying the ongoing work. A life-long hard worker, he is unable to do much these days but he enjoyed directing us.
