Boxing Day: Bridal Veil Falls, Makomako

We drove west today to Raglan which is a surfer's paradise.  Had a spot of lunch there - savoury french toast with 'avo', tomato and pesto.

From there we went to Bridal Veil Falls - with a waterfall drop of 55m.  There were three viewing platforms - at the top, 160 steps or so down or bottom (261 steps down).  Very impressive and pretty.

No 2 son came over for dinner and we talked about a number of things including the end of his course and his return to UK - he'll be back before us all going well.

Not sure when we will see him again as he will be based in Bournemouth for the next stage.  So quite a sad parting for now.
