Mistle Thrush
This morning there was a beautiful mistle thrush in the garden eating the cotoneaster berries. I was thrilled to see it as it was the first time that one has visited me. It's a shame that the old tyre in next-door's garden is in the background but as I took this from the house I couldn't change the angle.
I went for a walk along the canal near my house and stopped for a chat with friends that were sitting outside the pub drinking coffee.
There were lots of different types of bird around including bullfinches, long-tailed tits, goldcrest and winter thrushes. It was sunny but a cold wind made it a bracing walk.
