Ingleton Waterfall Trail

The rain had stopped and the sun came out,  so we headed off on our planned trip to the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail.  There was a fair amount of water in both the River Twiss and the River Doe so the falls were fairly spectacular. There were a lot of families and groups out so it was also a rather sociable walk. The round trip is about 7,5 kms but we were all fairly tired afterwards. There are a lot of up and downs and many steps, especially on the River Doe section.
This picture is taken near the top of the Pecca Falls on the River Twiss.
We really enjoyed the walk, and it is very beautiful, but be warned it costs £6 per head. The family of two parents with three young people (all over 16) paid £30, which seemed a bit steep.
When we got back to the cars we all drank hot chocolate and thought we were going to eat Christmas Cake, but when the foil wrapped packet was opened we saw that instead of the cake someone had picked up the nut roast!  Understandable in this time of left-overs filling the fridge.
I hope you all had a good a time as we did on Boxing Day and continue to enjoy life as 2016 draws towards its close.
