Merry Xmas everybody

The only picture of our meal today is this one of the burnt roast potatoes.

No one minded, everyone enjoyed them.

There were 10 of us today and it was lovely to be all together. My brothers ladies helped in the kitchen and we had a nice time getting ready while our men folk did the usual and went to the pub. We had a laugh, we had a drink, and shared ideas, here was me giving cooking tips!

Microwave bags for the veg my top tip, especially if cooking for one or two, don't need to wash pots and pans. Warm milk and butter in the microwave before adding to the potatoes for mashing makes them really creamy.

Lunch ready and men folk back, husbands, fathers, partners, brothers, sons, and nephews, all under one roof for one large meal. The turkey cooked to perfection, joint effort in agreeing it was cooked. Blue book consulted one last time and we all sat down and ate.

A lovely day. Someone missing in person but guides us through the day and another successful Xmas dinner served.
