the birds are back...

...in the garden.

This year my garden has been strangely absent of birds. The bird seed has sprouted into plant shoots; the mealworms have crystallised; the fat balls have rotted.
Yesterday we saw a pair of wrens snooping around one of our bushes. This morning there have been wren, tits, robin, blackbirds, crow and, best of all, a woodpecker (very rare for my garden). The tits and robin were pecking at the remains of some mealworms.

Scared to get too close to the in case they were frightened off - the above were the better shots. Don't care that they are not that good - the birds are back...
