Crèche

This is the crèche in St. John Church. We used to have a  much more tumbley down stable which was more appropriate but in the last couple of years, this has appeared. The figures are all out of proportion to one another. Baby Jesus is huge for a newborn and the donkey is bigger than the ox. This is because years ago the donkey was stolen and the replacement seems to have been bought without any reference to the existing figures.
But we all love it, regardless of its imperfections.
