Day 298- Blue mountains
Early start this morning, missed the train by 8 minutes cause me and D were too busy buying hash Brown's haha. But we made it!! Katoomba was our first stop and we jumped on a bus to echo point which was a beautiful lookout over the blue mountains. We then headed up towards scenic world and down the track to katoomba falls. When we got there a lot of people had jumped the railings, which annoyed me a little as it is a national park and also spoiled everyone else photos. But I later found out that there are face senser cameras there and when they get to the top there camera is taken and the photos from the point are deleted and in cases they can be fined $500. Eep. Once we got to the bottom of the track we decided to get the scenic rail back! What a experience!! The world's most inclined train at 52% angle up the mountain. Absolutely brilliant!! Once back at the top we took the half a hour walk to the 3 sisters and stood on the wooden bridge inbetween which was really cool. My picture is of the 3 sisters at a distance with a slight blue mist of the mountains and the large rock to the right looks like a face which I thought was cool. Once we climbed back up the 1939 steps we decided to take the hour long trek to Leura cascades which was a lovely walk and the cascades were pretty cool. Lots of lovely lookouts on the way too. We then headed to Leura train station and lounged out for the 2 hour journey back to Sydney central. Brilliant sights for the day and curry and Bailey's to finish the night! :)
