Big swell waves rolling to shore by Yellowcraigs. The Law, as it's known locally (or Berwick Law, or North Berwick Law), the lump in the distance, is the remnant of a volcanic plug that was shaped by passing ice during the ice age, as was the nearby Bass Rock island, and less nearby, Edinburgh's Castle rock. All the softer stone and ash being scrapped away with the movement of the ice over, and around them. Or so I was led to believe...

Unfortunate Harbour Porpoise, dead on the beach at North Berwick, after a recent storm. First one I'd ever seen. A shame it wasn't alive and swimming about.

Heading up to play in the snow in the Lammermuirs, with Base, David, Ian, and Stuart. The road was blocked ahead by a huge drift that the snow plough had given up on... it was way above its height. Car ahead was reversing back down the road. We took the shop's van up there.
