Salisbury
We travelled to Salisbury lunchtime, to meet up with brother D and sister S and families at "The Haunch of Venison". Salisbury is equidistant from their homes and our holiday cottage.
An old pub, and up the stairs to a comfy room with a log fire. An enjoyable 4 hours, a good meal (lots of venison of course), and good to see everyone this Christmas.
Returning to the car park we walked up to the cathedral. It has a real Wow! Factor illuminated in the blackness. That dot to the left of Britain's tallest spire (a bit misty this evening) is the planet Venus, which is fantastic in the early evening at the moment.
