WildWednesday39: Preparation

For a couple of weeks or so I've watched as these two squirrels have been preparing for colder weather. They've been stripping fiber from the trunk of a Sabal Palm (Florida's State Tree) located just beyond our screened porch. I've watched as they rip off the fibers and then, with a mouth full, run up a tall pine tree where they are building a nest. I would guess that a mat of these fibers would make great insulation. I've been meaning to get some shots of all of this so...here they are! Thanks to Cailleach for hosting WildWednesday!
