In its place

The elf is another of my Christmas decorations that has to be in the correct place every year. He has to be sitting on the wrought iron lamp standard. A recent addition is the felt heart that I made last year.
It is a beautiful sunny day and we had planned to visit Standen, a National Trust house where there is a Christmas tree designed by Kaffe Fassett. However, my cough/cold seems to be getting worse instead of better so the trip will have to wait, and I remain indoors, away from the cold winter air.
