Camera Crazy

The irony of being on holiday in a beautiful place - and this week only with family, too - is that there is an increase in photo opportunities, but a decrease in time to sort photos and share them on Blip, never mind keep up with viewing fellow blippers' journals.

Anyway, while I have a quick 10 minutes - here's a backblip from Tuesday. We walked a gentle levada east of Funchal and looked down over Machico (the name is the same as Mexico.) It was the first town settlers created on the island, since overtaken by Funchal as the capital city. Additional pictures show a typical random thrown-together stretch of fencing, and lovely mimosa in bloom.
