Bb in Rio

It's Wednesday so that meant up the road to the Wednesday food market. Avocados were what I was looking for today and most of them were either too mature or wouldn't mature sufficiently for Saturday, which is when we want to use them. We bought 3 possibilities, so will see. We bought our weekly breakfast fruit - papaya, mangos and bananas and our usual veg. Our lunch time stop was Adega Perola, a Portuguese bodega and a favourite of Bb's.  We shared rollmop herrings, marinated cloves of garlic, artichoke hearts and Bb had octopus a la vinagrete. It's like a furnace out there today and although this place doesn't have air conditioning as it's open to the street, the powerful overhead fans are very welcome! Last night Bb met a client socially and when we met up afterwards it was the hottest I remember it being here at night.
