So today we were supposed to pick up dad at about 1300, bring him back to ours for lunch with L.
But I fielded a phone call from his carer at about 1100 - Ray had been unable to persuade dad to get out of bed. Even the threat that L was on the train and expected in Norwich shortly was not enough.
1.30pm found us all at dad's. He was still in bed, but with some bullying, he sat up, and then walked through into the lounge. Once up, he drank a cup of tea and ate some breakfast cereal with notable enjoyment - but he still refused to consider a trip to ours for lunch. W took a photo for us - though I rejected his initial efforts as my bum DEFINITELY looked big in them!
The eventual compromise was that we left him at home, had lunch out at Zaks with L, and then later in the evening, L and I returned to dad's, where we again had to bully him out of bed, but he eventually ate a good supper of scrambled egg and veggies.
Now winding down, ready to retire to bed.
