Float-In Movie!

All things American eventually invade British culture at some point or another. However, down by the Piccadilly end of the Rochdale canal, the drive-in movie was given a new twist. Canal barges moored up and joined the throngs of locals to watch The Life Aquatic as it was beamed onto the side of a car park that was moonlighting as a cinema screen. I didn't stay around to watch but I'm assuming there were no young people on roller skates selling refreshments - if there were, they would've gotten seriously wet.
