Joyful Jays

Just about finished with this oil painting of the jays. I'm calling it "Joyful Jays" because of the middle fellow who looks like he is full of joy. The painting is 9 by 12 inches and is the second in my Deck Birds series. Not sure exactly how many I plan to do.

I changed the painting quite a bit since last time I worked on it. I got the idea for the green in the background from the reference photograph. I like how it added to the painting.

Helena came over for dinner tonight and we watched some TV before we drove her home. All in all it was a good day. Hope yours was and is too.
