Homeward bound at dusk

  Went out into the countryside today looking for gypsies and huge cranes which had been promised - but failed dismally.  However there were other birds to see and lots of people so not an entirely wasted day although very expensive. This shepherd had been out with his flock since dawn - he  also looked after goats for other people in the village. Sitting with an elderly couple having chai the sky was suddenly filled with bee eaters snatching at insects - and three small cranes flew across - the sun sank so no further viewings of anything except traffic going homeward.  Thanks to everyone for stars, hearts and comments for yesterday's turbanned tribal they are really so appreciated.
