In Search of the Sun

Pickering was shrouded in mist which did not shift. A quick look at the weather forecast revealed the coast was the best option for a walk.

On the way we stopped off at the Hole of Horcum as the retreating mist and frost coated vegetation was too good to miss (see the extras). I was torn between sticking to our planned visit to Whitby or staying on to enjoy the frosty landscape. Whitby won the day and we were greeted with some beautiful afternoon light on the harbour.
