Seven Dials
Went to London with son R to visit the map exhibition at The British Library which was a bit disappointing. Being orienteers, R and I both like maps and would have liked to see more old maps and more history of map making. There were far too many war maps for me. I was interested to see an original Mercator Atlas of Europe from 1589 . Richard had been hoping to see John Snow's cholera map but that was not in the exhibition even though the Library has the original book. And of course no photography was allowed.
We walked back from Euston to Charing Cross , or rather R walked and I trotted to keep up with him. He is very tall so when I stop to take photos I can still see him striding off into the distance.
