Creeping calves....

Another day spent mixing slurry. On the down side my back is starting to niggle with having to lift the concrete slats covering the tanks out every time I need to move the mixer dawn the shed .
In between shifts managed to build up the pen in the silage pit to give the last lot of calves their creep area. This is an area that the wee calves can get in to but not the cows so we can feed them separately and they can get a dry lie down. Saying that when I went back after tea 4 cows had managed to squeeze through the hole in the wall and were stuffing their faces with hay. Once I ran them back round to their shed and adjusted the pop hole that seemed to cure the problem
Brother in law came round with his lab tonight so the terrier has some one new to annoy.
