Winter Waders

I'm not quite sure what species they are, I think they may be Sanderling on the basis that up close they seem to have black legs rather than the yellow of Knot. Whatever they were they were very pretty, flying up as the tide was coming in. As ever I didn't take my longer lens and this was something of a grab shot as I'd left hubby and my parents some distance away on a freezing cold beach. Maybe next time.....
