Day 364 of 366 - The Gatehouse!
The image today was taken this afternoon in the Village of Baginton, which is just outside of Coventry. The view is of the Main Gatehouse of the Lunt Roman Fort. The Fort which is a Scheduled Ancient monument, is an authentic recreation of a Roman military outpost that was built on the original architectural excavation site. The original Fort was built approximately 60 AD. It would have been used by the Romans in their campaign against rebels that were led by Queen Boudica of the Iceni tribe.
The photo was taken using the app Cortex Camera on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I Cropped and Straightened the image and adjusted the White Balance. I then boosted the Contrast, Saturation and Ambiance. I also decreased the Highlights and added a little extra Structure to the image. Next I used the app Stackables to apply the formula called Warm Glow. Finally I used the app PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights preset, the Vibrant FX and an Medium Dark Vignette. I then applied the Old Paper texture and the Leather frame.
