Switched On

Seen at the Modern Art Gallery in Edinburgh - in the gents loo. This is one of my first favourite galleries; it's small, it's classy but friendly, lots of attractive features on the staircase, in the cafes, in the toilets. And I really love the permanent exhibitions as well as the great special ones. One that's on just now is outstandingly good - Joan Eardley. Her work, especially her landscapes and seascapes, have a wonderful abstract quality, exciting brush strokes and palette. Anyway, the snapshot is a light switch taken in the gent's loo.
