Scharmützelsee & Kleinen Werl

This See or lake is in Brandenburg and at the northern end is the thermal spa Bad Saarow .
Today we drove there .The weather was wonderful .Bird life appeared minimal compared to Berlin lakes but the clear waters were striking .Here you see the small island of Werl. Formerly nesting site for many Cormorants. The trees, now dead , stand with a few old nests remaining.It was peaceful , easy walking , and a day out with a difference .
