The old and the new at the turn of the year

We had lunch with friends in Linlithgow today. Very pleasant but we were a bit disappointed to find the restaurant has changed from a lovely ' fine dining' one to a bistro style. The food was still good ...it just wasn't quite such a special experience [ didn't notice much difference in the price either !]
N and I decided to go by train and on the way back I noticed these 2 towers all lit up. I liked the juxtaposition of old and new.
Nearly missed the connection home trying to get the photo !
