Preparing dinner.

I haven't thought of a title yet.

Milly and I went to the woods today and it was, needless to say, raining. We had hopes that the thick canopy would give us some protection but in other ways it's worse as the collective drips from the leaves are proportionally larger. It was warm with a high humidity and combined with wearing wet weather gear it was like a tropical rain forest. The damp smells from the decaying undergrowth gave Milly's nose a sensory overload. There were plenty of picture opportunities showing water drenched folliage in a soft rain washed light and ferns take on a whole new persona. There are over 8000 species of this amazing survivor plant.

As we came up past the adjacent field the 'Heelan Coos' were sensibly under the trees laying down and chewing the cud...except one. It had backed up to this low hanging branch and was giving the 'steak' end of its beef package a vigorous massage and ecstatic scratch. Got it........!
