The last of the light.....

....for 2016. I went up to the top of the Mount to see the sun dip over the Kaimai mountain range for the last time this year. I hoped for a blazing finale but it was a bit of fizzer. Still a great walk. Just enough time to get down to the bottom before I had to rummage in my bag for my head lamp. I had to do it a few times so far. It's not a track I would like to do in the dark. At least the ground would break your fall if you went flying head over heels. I always found that comforting thought when I went parachuting.
