Childhood home

It was time to say farewell to my folks and head back to Blighty ...

My dad gets very nervous when travelling is involved and it was just easier to get to the airport an hour and a half before the 'required' 2 hours, just to stop him worrying about me missing my flight. (Düsseldorf is great for shopping so it wasn't the end of the world for me)

Didn't need to worry about missing my flight, it was delayed ... and then delayed again .. until it was announced that the incoming flight had to land in cologne due to flight time curfew in Düsseldorf...

So we went back through security, collected our luggage and waited an hour in sub zero temperatures for the coach.

Long story short, I arrived home 6 hours later than I should ... early this morning! I should still be fast asleep, but my brain is already making lists of things to do before we see the new in ...
