what a good end to 2016......

Stuart was veryawake and alert today....ok there were times when he withdrew again....but at the end of the afternoon he became more alert ...Rex and Annmarie came round five...i just finished feeding Stuart...when Rex said goodbye Stuart did something so incredible, he never has done anything like it....
he put one hand on Rex's head the other on his shoulder and said:

Rex may the Lord bless you
and protect you
may the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you
may the Lord show you his favour
and give you his peace

after they left he told me the Lord had told him to do it.......and then he said:
now we bless each other.......and we did......
what an amazing moving end to this year....

this morning i found a roll of wrapping paper hidden in the study behind books....wrapped in tissue paper....it was a sheet with hearts and i love you.......what a token of his love .......

also this morning a phonecall from a collegue we went to theological college with....we had not spoken for 25 years.....that phonecall came after i had a bit of a pity party....saying to God how this was the first time i didn't look forward to another year.......so many blessings..
Max told me he was praying for me and thought why don't i put that prayer into practice and ring.......

what a way to go into a new year.......

we thank you for all that is past.....
and trust him for all that's to come....

i so treasure this photo because Stuart is on it like he used to be......i have not seen him like this for many months.....
