Big Bad Banksia Man

This Banskia tree has finished flowering as new growth on the creeper comes into play with Spring only 7 days away.

The Banksia pod brings back childhood memories to my wife who as a young country girl was always that "little scared" of the"big bad banksia man" as he was portrayed in many childrens stories.... I suspect she wasnt just scared, as I know her to have been petrified.

The regrowth is occuring in Bold Park that was devasted by fires nearly 8 months ago and it is always great to go back and see just how wonderful nature is.
