Took mum out for lunch as she was a little unsettled. Christmas has been a bit of a strange one for her this year as she's not been too aware and although she knows it's Christmas, she doesn't ?! Hard to explain really but dementia has a way of doing that.
All she knows is that her routine has been disrupted and although we've tried to keep it to the minimum it has been a little unsettled for her.
We are positive for the new year and we are going to try a few different things to keep her occupied. A quiet but nice holiday period.
