Donkey's Tail

Happy New Year, everyone.  Let's hope that 2017 is good for all of us.  Speaking personally, I'm not sorry to see 2016 go.  It wasn't all that good in very many ways.  But as with everything it did have its highlights.

This rather weird looking sedum has been hanging in the cherry tree since goodness knows when, and this is the first year I've ever noticed flowers on it.  The bright red contrasts well against the bluish colour of the sedum.  I looked it up - it's Sedum morganianum.


Thanks for all the lovely comments on our boarder yesterday.  She has settled down really well, has the appetite of a horse, and hopefully will soon gain some weight.  Maybe today or tomorrow we'll slowly introduce her to Mish.
