It is Friday

Another thursday night and another gathering of jazz enthusiasts. Last night's band featured Mervyn Bean (trumpet), Steve Wildgoose (bass), Mike Kidson (drums) and Pete Kassell on guitar. Peter introduced the jazz numbers and I had painted him before as well as Mervyn.

Last night it was Mike the drummer that provided the inspiration, so incredibly happy and delivered awesome solos that he was very pleased with. And I could not resist painting Mervyn again, this time with his flugelhorn, similar to a trumpet but with a wider conical bore.

Ted entertained us with the advice that tourists get from us - with a twist - drawing upon his acting skills. And a great raffle as usual with the highlight being fish, chips and mushy pease at Pumpkins, a restaurant that is now so popular in Kendal.
