Day 366 of 366 - The Best Till Last?
The image for today is my final entry in my Year (366 days due to leap year) of taking and editing all my images with an iPhone. I thought I would finish my year with one of my favourite houses in Coventry. It was taken early this afternoon in Stivichall Croft, Coventry (Stivichall is the ancient parish name however the more modern spelling is Styvechale). The image is of Smithy Cottage. The cottage is brick-built and probably of late-17th-century origin. It is a Grade II Listed cottage that was restored after it was damaged by bombing during the Second World War. I used to joke with my daughter driving her home from Choir that if I earned enough money selling my photos then we could buy the house. A massive thank you to everyone who has taken an interest in my project over the last year and for all your kind words of encouragement. You are all awesome!
The photo was taken using the app ProCamera on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I cropped and Straightened the image and applied the Tonal contrast filter. I then boosted the Contrast, Ambiance, Saturation and Warmth. After this I decreased the Highlights and Shadows a little. Next I used the app Mextures to apply the formula called Wanderlust by Ana Gōmez De Leōn. I then used the app Stackables to apply the formula called Haven. Finally I used the app PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights preset, the Drama FX and an Medium Dark Vignette. I then applied the Scratched texture and the Leather frame.
