tradition
We've started a new one (tradition, that is) since moving to London: on Hogmanay we go to the Everyman cinema in Islington followed by a late lunch at Carluccio's across the road.
On the way down the road to the cinema +3/3 spotted this Hedwig lookalike in a shop window; it matches his little cuddly keyring of the same that he got in his stocking very well.
Rogue One (of course) was really very well done; loads of lovely references to the original Episode 4, the CG Peter Cushing was very well done (if quite clearly CG - aside from knowing he was dead - the Princess Leia was less convincing for some reason) and a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.
Back to the ranch after a tasty meal (and drink - the Negroni pictured in extras was suitably bitter but refreshing) to some nibbles, a film, discovering BBC Scotland is on freeview, 5 minutes of Jackie Bird, turning over after a tartan overdose and watching the fireworks that erupt all over North London at midnight.
Happy New Year, y'all.
