The One That Got Away?

Looks like this plump white goose escaped the Christmas table, along with some of his friends at Balgavies Loch near Forfar this afternoon:-)  The weather looked quite promising as we set out to walk round the loch, but by the time we reached almost the halfway point, the wind had strengthened and the sleet was blowing in our faces.  

Not very pleasant, so we cut our losses and made our way back home again.  At least we got plenty of fresh air and some exercise to start the New Year!
